Bold Beanies surgical-style chemo face-masks are sewn from 100% cotton and can be machine washed

As with all face masks, they should be changed frequently.

A suitable temperature for washing face masks is 30°C (86°F).

However, to prevent the spread of germs and viruses, it is advisable to wash masks at 60°C (140°F) or and/or use an antibacterial washing powder or liquid. It is important to combine your wash with a good washing detergent to attack bacteria.

TO KILL BACTERIA : Bold Beanies recommends Dettol Laundry Cleanser which is added to the wash and kills 99.9% of bacteria, even on washes below 20°C.

TO KILL VIRUSES : Dettol Laundry Cleanser is Laboratory tested on influenza H1 N1; RSV; Coronavirus; Herpes Simplex Type 1. Face Masks should be soaked for 15 minutes in a mixture of 1 cap to 2.5L of water 

You can also dry your medical face mask in the dryer on a very low setting. 

You may chose to iron on low to help re-form the pleats.
