Bold Beanies Chemo Hair Loss Headwear - Emphasis on Comfort, Ease & Style...

Bold Beanies cancer headwear has been specifically designed for cancer hair loss from chemotherapy by Emilienne (who lost her hair with chemo for stage 3 advanced Breast Cancer) When you've suddenly lost your hair because of the drugs you're taking and your hair 'hurts' whilst its falling out and your scalp is sensitive, sore and cold.

-Bold Beanies headwear is super soft and lightweight; made to be as comfortable as possible with no unnecessary seams or labels to fit snugly onto the head and not slip around... you will simply forget you are wearing it.

-The fabric is thin soft stretchy cotton so its naturally breathable, temperature controlling (so adjusts to the conditions of the day), sweat-wicking and UV protective.

-Bold Beanies Hats, Head-wraps, Headscarves and PICC sleeves are designed with Style at the forefront. Using the world renowned Liberty Print Fabrics and best plain coloured fabrics in the UK for Women, Men, Teen and Kids of all ages and tastes. You are sure to find something you like and that flatters and make you feel a little bit more confident and better about your day.

-Bold Beanies head covers are very easy to put on. This is especially good for anyone after surgery or for the elderly. There is no right or wrong way and the stretchy soft fabric makes the head wraps and scarves easy to tie.

Where am I on my Cancer 'Journey'... ?

Where am I on my Cancer 'Journey'... ?

This was my world at the start of my cancer ‘journey’. Was it the day before I stepped on the rollercoaster, I can’t remember. Anyway, today I’m feeling reflective... could today be the start of a new direction on that journey? Is this a journey or simply life... but this cancer thing is only one part of my life, it doesn’t define me does it? The end of my ‘journey’ maybe without a significant destination to let me know I’m there and I’m okay... or does it only end at the end? I’m thinking of all those whose ‘journey’ begins today... the day it all starts. Whatever your ‘journey’ is and however far along you are, I’m sending thoughts your way x #cancerjourney #life #today #cancer #thewordhaslostallmeaning

How Breast cancer Starts & Grows

How Breast cancer Starts & Grows

What are breasts made of, and where do cancers start and grow? Breast tissue is found in the breast, upper chest and the armpit. Each breast contains 15-20 glands called lobes, where milk is produced. These lobes are connected to the nipple by tubes called ducts. The structure of the lobes and ducts is a bit like the branches of a tree. Breast cancer usually begins within the lobes.

Much of the rest of the breast is fatty tissue. The breast and armpit also contain lymph nodes and vessels carrying lymph fluid, which are part of the immune system. Breast cancer can sometimes spread to other areas of the body through this lymph system or blood vessels.

Is Social Media Fuelling the Rise of Fake Cancer Cures...?

As a young mother dies after refusing chemotherapy, how social media is fuelling the rise of fake cancer cures

I'm in no way judging what any person chooses to do or think... we all need to be comfortable with our own choices, advice and treatment paths we trust in following. I just found this article interesting and my heart goes out to Katie's family. I've lived since my diagnosis of 'everything in moderation' with the exception of smoking. If Haribo's or Pepperoni's are your culinary joy and make you happy, don't deprive yourself within a healthy balanced diet and lifestyle.

The article in The Telegraph online written by Margarette Driscoll goes on to write:

Last week, at a converted 18th-century farmhouse near Derby, friends gathered in memory of Katie Britton-Jordan, who died recently after a valiant struggle against breast cancer. She was 38 and leaves a grieving husband, Neil, and Delilah, their five-year-old daughter. Neil, who announced his wife’s death on Facebook earlier this month, called for the event to be a celebration of Katie’s strength and resilience. He asked friends to “bring smiles, love, dancing shoes, bubbles and sparklers”.
