Macmillan Cancer Support off the following advice to those having chemotherapy. Bold Beanies are soft cotton stretchy thin breathable cancer sleep caps, perfect for wearing night or day to protect your hair and help with the distressing effects of hair loss.

It is important to look after your hair during and after cancer treatment:

  • If you are having radiotherapy, ask your radiotherapy team if you can use shampoo and which type is best.
  • Only use conditioner on the middle and ends of your hair.
  • When drying your hair with a towel, don’t rub hard.
  • Use a brush with wide-spaced prongs or a wide-toothed comb.
  • Wear a soft cap at night.

Tumor Treating Fields - No Chemo Side Effects

I chatted recently to a customer who is having a new treatment for a brain tumour and I was astonished to hear how good this new treatment is working, its success rate and more importantly with no nasty side effects giving back 'quality of life' to many cancer patients. He loves his Bold Beanies hair loss hats as they are the most comfortable hat to wear over his patches (with a shaved head) and keep some normality and discretion. I have also hand-made some cord covers to co-ordinate his hats and back pack. Please contact me, Emilienne, directly via info@boldbeanies.co.uk...
